In 1964 a small but passionate group of cattleman determined to preserve the purity and unique heritage of the Texas Longhorn Cattle established the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America with the goal of maintaining the breed registry and promoting this magnificent breed throughout the world.
Your purchase affords you a copy of the TLBAA membership certificate for the Texas Longhorn Cattle Ranch, as well as a copy of the TLBAA certificate of registration for TEXAS PRIDE, a 4 year old Texas Longhorn steer. These certificates authenticate and substantiate the ownership and registration of Texas Pride by The Texas Longhorn Cattle Ranch.
Object and Purpose
The object and purpose of the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America is to recognize Texas Longhorn cattle as a distinct breed with a unique heritage and place in American history; to protect this heritage, promote breeding practices that preserve the purity of Texas Longhorn Cattle and increase public awareness of this distinct breed. The TLBAA recognizes and supports the efforts of present breeders and encourages others to develop and maintain TLBAA-registered herds to preserve this magnificent breed of cattle for posterity. Furthermore, the TLBAA aids in the advancement of scientific knowledge concerning past ancestry and future breeding of Texas Longhorn cattle and pursue other actions that are in the best interest of Texas Longhorn Cattle.
